Memupuk minat keusahawan ketika kecil

Ramai bertanyakan saya tentang pendedahan awal saya dalam bidang perniagaan. Saya juga jarang berkongsikan kisah saya ketika kanak-kanak, bagaimana saya mula berminat dalam perniagaan.


Kali ini saya kongsikan gambar saya ketika saya kecil… comel kan? ;)
Sebenarnya, saya dan perniagaan sudah lama tidak dapat dipisahkan. Sejak di bangku sekolah rendah lagi saya sudah berminat berniaga. Perniagaan pertama saya adalah menjual aiskrim kepada rakan-rakan sekolah. Ketika itu masih lagi sekolah rendah di Kuala Kangsar. Aiskrim yang macam mana?
Aiskrim plastik! Bermodalkan beberapa ringgit sahaja, dan membeli plastik aiskrim yang datangnya dalam bungkusan mempunyai gambar King Kong. Saya menggunakan kordial di peti sejuk arwah nenek, dan membancuh 2-3 jenis perisa untuk di masukkan dalam plastik tersebut dan mengikatnya. Pasti anda pun masa kecil-kecil dulu pernah merasa aiskrim sebegini bukan?
Mulai situ, saya memang berminat berniaga. Di sekolah juga saya mengambil upah melukis kartun, melukis kad raya dan mencipta t-shirt untuk dijual kepada kawan-kawan.
Walaupun ibu dan ayah bukan ahli perniagaan, dan juga tiada keluarga yang terlibat dalam perniagaan (kebanyakannya bekerja dengan kerajaan), saya belajar berniaga dengan melihat dan belajar dari pemerhatian disekeliling. Berikut adalah 3 tip mudah mengalakkan si kecil untuk minat dengan perniagaan dan wang:
  • Ketika di kedai, beri anak anda melakukan pembayaran dan mengambil baki wang daripada cashier. Dengan cara ini, ia membiasakan anak anda dengan transaksi perniagaan sejak kecil
  • Upah dan beri galakkan anak anda apabila menghasilkan sesuatu yang menarik seperti lukisan atau kraftangan. Galakan sebegini akan meningkatkan lagi keyakinan anak kita dalam mengasah kreativiti sendiri.
  • Galakkan anak anda menabung. Dari masa kesemasa, kira bersama hasil tabung supaya anak kita belajar menjejak simpanan. Juga, berikan hadiah kecil (hasil daripada simpanan) untuk menggalakkan simpanan dan juga membiasakan mereka melihat bahawa wang simpanan usaha sendiri akan kurang apabila berbelanja.
Sekiranya anda mempunyai anak atau adik atau anak buah, berikan pendedahan awal perniagaan dan kewangan kepada mereka. Ia akan banyak membantu mereka apabila dewasa kelak dari segi keyakinan diri dalam perniagaan dan pengurusan wang. Jadikan berniaga dan wang sebagai sesuatu yang menyeronokkan dan menggembirakan. Ciptakan keadaan di mana perniagaan adalah permainan bersama mereka. Galakkan mereka berfikir kreatif. Bincangkan perihal kewangan (bukan masalah kewangan) dan jadikan mereka menghormati dan mengharagi wang dengan cara yang menghiburkan.
Sekiranya anda mempunyai anak / adik / anak buah dalam lingkungan umur 8-13 tahun, satu program khas untuk mendedahkan kanak-kanak kepada perniagaan dan kewangan akan dikendalikan pada hari Sabtu 31hb Julai ini, yang dikelolakan oleh Abang Abu & saya sendiri.  Pogram playshop “Junior Boss” ini telah mendapat sambutan yang hebat di Singapura sehingga ke Australia oleh pengasas Junior Boss, Abang Abu. Pentingnya solat. Jadikan solat sebagai paling penting dalam hidup kita insya allah semuanya akan menjadi lebih mudah.

Solat menjadi ubat dan teknik untuk banyak perkara.

Dalam perniagaan seorang peniaga boleh mendapat banyak perkara melalui solat ini.

Stress ? Solat jangan tinggal. Solat wajib lima waktu akan menjadikan anda hilang stress. tak caya cuba lah.

Cepat marah? Solat jangan tinggal. lakukan solat sunat setiap waktu. Mest dah tak marah punya. Dah boleh sabar after tu.

Malas? konsisten setiap hari solat subuh berjemaah , kalau boleh dimasjid atau surau atau dirumah bersama keluarga.Lepas tu dah tak malas lagi.

Procastination atau sifat suka melambat-lambatkan?

Lakukan Sembahyang wajib tepat masuk waktunya. Paling lewat limat minit masuk waktu.

Updates: Lessons that I learned

Salam, How are all of you feeling. I m sure all of you who knows me will be feeling GREAT.

It has been awhile update my blog. I thought of update with some news at least. However i will always update my facebook with new updates insya allah.

I just want to share something very important to all including myself.

BE HUMBLE no matter how big you grow, how much wealth you have or even how famous you are. Be HUMBLE and you will see that you will be growing and keep growing. Never forget your all the hardship and difficulty that you go through. Make those moments stick so that you will remain humble.

Always have NIAT and INTENTION of doing good for people with pure heart and sincerely. Dont just do it for the sake of taking advantage of others and only with the intent of making money. DO always give value that can help others.

I really salute my Mentor Datuk Maznah for being a great person with pure heart to help people who really needs help. Learn a lot from her. She is a person that i really look up and always pray for her success and happiness.

Insya Allah , AbangAbu and IK will be doing programs that will make a lot people taste success.

IK , Irfan Khairi is another person that I really look up and respect for being such a great friend and mentor. A person that i can share many ideas and always want him to grow bigger and bigger. He is a man with many talent and a freind that had been a great supporter that introduce me in the Malaysian market.

And always be respectful to all no matter what is their position and situation. Never say things that can hurt the feeling of others. The word like “{ Dont Waste My Time} or  { This is too little for me} .

Always remember the time we also might been there too. May all become a real successful person that also humble as what our mentor and leader MUHAMMAD S.A.W . He is humble and respectful to others even after israk mikraj. The journey that is better than going to space or moon.

Be a CHILD to succeed in Business

How have all of you been doing. Been very long since AbangAbu update my blog due to some changes in the hosting account together with my long one month travel to few places abroad.

While in this journey i had also observe the culture in different part of the world on business. And AbangAbu believed that we can learn so much from these cultures and we can apply some of those in our own business success.

The first culture that AbangAbu studied is about the Indian Business culture

In India I saw some unique culture that i can summarize as CHILD. In India You must be a CHILD in order to succeed in business.

So be a CHILD

C- Curiuos

Always curious about things that happen, about the new technology, about anything. The business people in India always curious about new happenings and always asking about it. They always look into include new things in thier own business.

Being curious is a part of CHILD and in India it is a culture in all entrepreneurs here.

H – Happy

AbangAbu was really like this one. No matter what , they remain happy. Even that day they never achieve their target or goal the remain happy. The love music and cinema. No wonder India is the largest producer of film and songs.

Infact new cinema is like a celebration day there for them. So AbangAbu like this and yes we need to remain happy with any result that we get after we put in all the effort.

I – Innovative

Being innovative is already in their blood. They seems to be very very innovative . From a very small business till huge one , they innovate everything possible. From the way the decor till lighting and all. They do even do electrical innovation themselves. Thats is the level of risk the do take in innovating. AbangAbu felt this is something all entreprenuer must have in order to succeed. So get innovative even in the way you speak.

L – Learning

Amazed with their attitude of taking all mistakes as a lesson learned. they also dun mind of making mistake . They willing to do and try new things. This is something that AbangAbu felt a very important part in survival in business. You need to keep doing new things and new ways of doing things.

And everytime things does not go as what you wanted take that as new learning. Keep doing it again differently.

D- Dumb

This might be funny for us here. But believe me , as a little child they sometimes do dumb things even they know it is a dumb thing to do. They dun mind been called dumb. They want to do it and have fun . This is something i learnt and for our culture what we can take as a lesson is that its is ok if people might think we are dumb. Let it that way for them and we can just go on.

Tuesday Biz Tip: T A L K

Hi brothers and sisters. Great to write again today. AbangAbu planned to write regularly if not everyday. It also improve my writing skills and also give me more ideas thus keep my  mind working.hehehehe.

Today , Biz Tip day so AbangAbu want to share some tip that will be useful and something i regard as very important during the times like today’s economy. Communication skills are indeed very very crucial during this times. Those who have great communication skills can perform better than who are not good at it.

Every business need to communicate to the people so that they will be heard of and been seen. Infact every entrepreneur must have this skill. The great thing is that it is a learnable skill. Business communication is one must have skill in an entrepreneur.

Todays Tip on communication is TALK. Well you need to keep on talking to survive and grow in todays business well. You must also know how to TALK. So how?……. Here you are today

T – Tell Stories

Stories make people remember you than any of your points. Stories build rapport with your audience and also give you more credibility. Look for a story that your product or service even about yourself that have direct link to your business. Tell it to your audience and prospect. Do it. Download my storie for free in my blog.

A- Add enthusiasm

This is what make a successful presenter. When you are enthusiastic than your listener will be too. Give your communication some energy. Smile even people are not energetic at the beginning. So remember every time you present put energy in your conversation.

L- Limit Points

Always remember what you want to tell.Just ask yourself what is the one thing that you want them to know from your conversation? Observe those are successful presenters , they limit their points. And it is so effective. Don’t throw many points or tell a lots of things till they confuses. This is common mistake that many are doing and than wonder why people still dont buy from them. Remember, human mind likes to think about one thing at a time.

K- Keep it Simply Sweet.

Don’t get nervous and even you are never think about it. In fact focus on your audience and your conversation. The great way to handle this is by being yourself and keep things simple. Talk in the way you are comfortable. Use simple language and avoid jargon’s. When you are in doubt, speak from the heart. This will let your audience see the real you and you will have the confidence again.

Hi all,

How are you all doing?I believe GREAT. I am really having a great journey in my all aspect of life. And today i would love to share one important element that made my life having such a great time.

Having good network will help in order to get our things and plan to be done faster.These are some basic preparation that will help you in your networking.

N= Name cards.

Make sure that you have a name card printed for yourself, make it simple and state both your name and contact number clearly.

E= Establish the rapport.

Establish rapport with people by being the first to approach them and always be approachable. People miss opportunities because they have fear to establish rapport with others. Always be the first to introduce yourself to others.

T= Two ways exchange.

Always think about having a conversation that is two way communications. The biggest mistake people do when they network is having one way communication where they will only focus only telling about themselves and what they do . The best way to get people interested to network with you is by listening to them. So always listen to others.

W=Win-Win

When you work out deals with this contact or network do keep in mind of a win-win proposition. Always ask your self how can the other person benefits from this relationship or deal.

O = Opportunity to gather information

Take every networking opportunities as a place that you can gather informations about others as well new trends in the market. Go with an open mind to learn something from the networking session.

R= Research

Research the networking session that you want to go and about the people that will be there as well. Doing this allows you to have the best result out of the networking session.It is always good to do some research and know where you are going.

K= Keep in Touch

One common mistake that people fail to do was to stay in touch with the people involved in the networking.I made this mistake earlier by not staying in touch and i know how much it means now to be in touch and sent email as well as sms to the people involved.

I understand that there were no point if we were going to all networking session but fail to keep in touch with the people you met or an sms within 24 hours after you met them.

I believe this will be some points for all of us to take note in order to build a great network. Some of my great business associates as well good friends are the one that i met at networking session.

Quick Updates ; AbangAbu and Mekanik$

It has been always great to be in KL to do talks and seminars.

After my saturday’s Bijak Belanja session, AbangAbu had Bicara Wang talk with IK in PJ on sunday.

We had a great time again doing what we love. Sharing knowledge that we have that we believe will add value in life of those attended.

Ipoh is our next stop for BICARA WANG bersama IK & MEKANIK $ on the 18th April 2010 , than in JB on 24 April noon.
