AbangAbu would like to introduce another entrepreneur who have so much knowledge in her about something she does.

I was stunned knowing what she has been dealing. I am very scared person watching all the tools of her trade.

Lets see what make her so brave and yes i am sure we would learn so much from her.

I am so happy to introduce another family member of cabaran101010 to all of my lovely readers. Interview with sis Nooraini Ghaus

1. What kind of business do you have?

I am very much into Alternative Treatment. At the moment I am a Leech Therapist. I started this business in January 2011.
My website: www.leechtherapy.org.
Prior to this I was specialise in traditional therapy for new mums.

2. What inspired you to become an Entrepreneur Business Owner?

To me, as an Entrepreneur Business Owner, the ladder of success and achievement that one can climb up, has no limit, as the saying goes, “The Sky is the Limit”. I was a Staff Sergeant in the SAF. At that time there were lots of “unwritten policies” that bared certain group of servicemen/servicewomen from advancement, like an invisible ceiling was placed above us. As I can’t take any more of their biases and discremination policies, I had to prepare myself to leave. I took one month leave and went to Mustika Ratu, Jakarta, Indonensia to take up the traditional therapy course. Immediately after the course, and having much confidence in myself that I can make it, I tendered my resignation.

3. Do you need to have a certain mindset to achieve success?

YES! In order to achieve success, I must be famish for success – “VERY HUNGRY FOR SUCCESS”. The greatest achievement and satisfaction for me is when I see my clients’ health improve and also when they start referring me to their friends.

4. Have you notice certain advantages to being an entrepreneur business owner?

As an entrepreneur business owner, I have the independence to set my own working schedules and my own income target. I enjoyed the flexible working hours and have no worries of retrenchment.

5. Did you have a mentor to help you get started?

I am my own mentor. The circumstances around me and my desire to prove to the SAF that I am a capable and a hardworking individual and that I can survive anywhere – that drove me to start my own business. Immediately after I left the service, I worked many hours to earn the money, and within a month I managed to buy a car. I drove back to Beach Road Camp to prove to the officers there that I can achieve more being an entrepreneur than if I was still wearing the military uniform.

6. Approximately how much did you invest before your business become profitable?

For the leech therapy business, I invested around 4k (course fee,
ACRA, leeches and miscellneous). I expected to get the full return of my investment by May 2011.

7. What ways have you found to be most effective in marketing your product or service to get sales?

First of all, my product or service must be above par. I must have good knowledge of my product or service. Continue to upgrade myself in my business. Second, be sincere and give my utmost best service.
Now a days there are so many marketing tools, eg, flyers, website, facebook, etc. But to me the best is still by “words of mouth”.

8. What tips can you give other who want to embrace their dreams but, don’t have the confidence or feel they don’t have what it takes to succeed.

Don’t hesitate. We are all unique in our own way. We have to quickly search for our passion and hidden talent and take IMMEDIATE ACTION. We must have the BELIEF that we can.

9. What’s next for you?

I am planning to put articles on leech therapy, in the Berita Harian first, before I go to the mainstream. I want people, especially the Malays, to know what leech therapy is all about.
This alternative treatment was intorduced in 1020 by a Persian doctor, IBNU SINA, the father of Modern Medicine. Leech therapy is now widely used by physicians in Western countries like France, England, Germany,Turkey and Russia.

I am also looking for a lady, Cik Zaleha Abdul Kader, who was featured in the BM dated 10 Apr. She is suffering from eczema. I would like to help her, Inshallah, by treating her with leech therapy. I have written to the editor, Farid Hamzah. He has not replied. If anyone knows Cik Zelaha, please let me know.

10. Few words about AbangAbu and the Cabaran 101010.

I salute AbangAbu as I can sense his sincerity in wanting to help the Malay Muslim become successful entrepreneur. I admire his energy, enthusiasm and devoation to the Cabaran 101010 which he initiated.

May ALLAH bllessed AbangAbu and his family and all members of Cabaran 101010 with abundance of health, wealth and success. A M I N !

11. Quote.

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
Eleanor Roosevelt

Beliau menjalankan perniagaan barangan sukan.

SBD: Apa Khabar Malek?

Malek: Khabar Baik.

SBD: Malek , Terma Kasih kerana sudi bersama Selebriti bulan ini dan berkongsi tip tip usahawan.

Malek: Sama Sama.

SBD: Apakah pandangan Malek terhadap perniagaan ?

Malek: Bisnes adalah sesuatu yang serious. Mesti fikir pasal bisnes 24 jam.

Jadi relationship is important sekali. Kita mesti jaga pelanggan kita.

SBD: Apakah modal perlu dalam memulakan perniagaan ?

Malek: Mesti.

Malek: Keluarga mesti faham.

How many of us always give excuse of not having ideas to start a business, or even says we don’t have money to have our own business.

Many will give all these reasons of why never get started in business even they themselves says that business is what they want to have.

It is all about burning desire that you have in you will make you to get started even with all of these reasons.

Haini Rahmat, the entrepreneur that abangabu want to introduce have choose to go into business with only burning desire and purpose to have own business. She went to join network marketing business to start her journey. And I am sure with that kind of HUNGER in oneself it is just matter of time in making it big in our lives.

Lets us get some learnings from her sharing today…. So presenting to you HAINI RAHMAT…

1)What kind of business do you have? What inspired you to become an Entrepreneur business owner?

Im selling One drop Perfumes as well as health product MILA. The people I met are the one who inspired me to be entrepreneur business owner. The more they give they more they received. I want to help my family so that they have enough money to do watever they want. For my nieces n nephew further their studies without worrying about $. After that I would very much want to help the community in creating awareness esp. health. Our community are ignorant n clueless about health.

2)Did you need to have a certain mindset to achieve success?
My mindset all along DO IT, KEEP GOING, DON’T GIVE UP. If other ppl can succeed WHY NOT ME!! Wherever and watever Im doing that are my mantra..

WANT TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS? GET THIS NOW

3)Have you noticed certain advantages to being an entrepreneur business owner?
Ive noticed the change in me. Im more confident, able to socialised, communicate better and more open to ideas. I used to be quiet and anti-social but when I attended seminars after seminars…I changed a lot. My family and the ppl around me commented that as wel…

4)Did you have a mentor to help you get started?
For MILA I invested $368/- and for the perfume I invested $300/-
5)Approximately how much money did you invest before your business became profitable?
I did not have any mentor when I started selling the perfumes. I jus simply do it but for the MILA…Suria Mohd become my mentor and inspired me a lot.

6)What ways have you found to be most effective in marketing your product or service to get sales?
Netwrk marketing. Offline and online marketing. Offline marketing is very different frm online but both ways are effective for me. The most effective I should say is the online marketing frm the articles and quotations, ppl get to noe me and they start buying…
7)What tips can you give others who want to embrace their dream but, don’t have the confidence or feel they don’t have what it takes to succeed?
Dont let others decide the decision for you…you have a choice in life …so decide watever you want…GO FOR IT! GO FOR YOUR DREAM! The important thing is to change your mindset and mixed around with positive ppl … You realised that you will change and you will be more confident and you will not bother what other ppl say about you!!

8)What’s next for you?
Next for me, I want to grow big. Doing big events and workshops instead of only 5-6 ppl attending ..I want more ppl attending )

9)Few words of AbangAbu and about cabaran101010? Optional Questions
The CABARAN 1010 really pushed me to do the limit and I know that I CAN DO IT. The ppl I met and the group Im in AZTEC really an eye opener that they are just like me ..WANT to be SUCCESSFUL and we work together HAND IN HAND.

10) One fav hadis , quote or book that impacted you?

Og Mandino ~ Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage, and confidence.

ONE DROP PERFUMES – Hey guys.. dont look too far away, one drop perfumes have them all.. Inspired by celebrities n designers..http://1droppotion.blogspot.com/

MILA can offer you better health! HEALTH AND WEALTH !!
http://tinyurl.com/more-on-MILA

Many times it is not the condition of outside of us that make us stronger but the condition within us that makes the reality of who we are. No matter whatever the condition outside of us , we still can go through it and achieve whatever we dream off by making sure the condition within us are unshakable.

This sharing by our sister entrepreneur Atika Ahmad touches AbangAbu, as I can feel the what kind of determination one should have to overcome this. It reminds me of my own journey too. And i am sure many of us out there need this sharing to affirm ourselves that we are not alone……… LETs get the lessons from Sister ATIKA AHMAD,

1)What kind of business do you have? What inspired you to become an Entrepreneur business owner?
Food.. My mum and my health.

2)Did you need to have a certain mindset to achieve success?
Focus and never give-up.

3)Have you noticed certain advantages to being an entrepreneur business owner?
I’m my own boss. Can arrange my work according to my own schedule.

4)Did you have a mentor to help you get started?
My father was a sailor. He leave a fixed amount of money for my mother each month. My mother make good used of the money but the money is not enough. However my mother is one who don’t like to complain. She try to solve the problem by herself. Working in a factory and making kuih to bring to her workplace to sell. I’m 12 at that time and she will wake me up as early as 3am to help her. I was unhappy at that time. Feeling tired having to look after my siblings on top of my schoolworks and then helping with the kuih. Most of the time in school I was sleepy. But now I’m grateful for that experienced ‘cos it teach me a kit or tool for survival. My mother is my idol and my mentor.

My mother never think of herself as a businesswoman or entrepreneur. Her mindset is only selling for survival or means of living.that’s how i was thinking too. From helping her I start making my own product that is kerepek layang-layang to sell. My mother help me to sell at her working place. Then I move on to baulu ,biscuits and cakes which I sell during Hari Raya. Still I don’t have the entrepreneur mind. Only sell it to friends. Never dream big. Feel happy when I can help reduce my mother’s burden. I’m happy when I started working. Like others I felt that work is safer with guarenteed income every month. I reduce my selling activities Just do it as a hobby,Maybe at that time I’ve met AA ,join Cabaran or have a group of friends who’s interested in business around me my outlook of things will be different. I agree with AA the group of friends around you is important as it add the aura and the right diesel/petrol for your engine.

I came back to selling when I resigned from my work. I’ve to choose between work and my health and I choose the latter. When I resigned I’ve to find something to do from home. Went round the shops in my housing estate to see whether i can sell any kuih in their store. Most of the kuihs are there. Difficult for newcomers to go in the market. I started with hotdog roll which I made on my own on dalal basis. Only about $3 to $6 per day sales. Very discouraging at times when the kuih is not saleable. Feel like giving up but I told myself to hold on. My opportunity came when the person who supply epok-epok to one of the shop fall ill. I was asked to replace him. From there another shop approach and ask me to supply to his shop daily on cash basis after he taste my epok-epok from the other shop .

5)Approximately how much money did you invest before your business became profitable?
About $2000 for the deep fryer, dough mixer and samples…

6)What ways have you found to be most effective in marketing your product or service to get sales?
Personal Approach…giving samples and words mouth to mouth…

7)What tips can you give others who want to embrace their dream but, don’t have the confidence or feel they don’t have what it takes to succeed?
Take control of your mind. Think positive. Wash away the negative thinking. You have to do it yourself. Nobody else can do it for you. Mix with the right group to add to the aura and give starter to your engine. Read more books and attend seminars to increase your tools, networking and confidence.

8)What’s next for you?
To have my own kitchen where I can do my production and distribute ny products…

9)Few words of AbangAbu and cabaran101010?
Concept of rezki…I strongly believe in that and it has been proven to me time and again.

Concept of WIN…
Work hard
Increase your knowledge
Never give up
….with these insya Allah you will win the battle…

I’m glad that I join Cabaran ‘cos it change my perspective and value added me. I became more confidence, more positive and my mind keep roaming…

For those who are interested in selling my kuih can call me at 97206848…

In a way, I’ve instilled some influence on my daughter to become an entrepreneur, because she ever told me that she wants to own a company one day. Ameen.

Secondly, I can plan my schedule between business and family.

4)Did you have a mentor to help you get started?

Roszilah M Nor. She’s my first baking mentor and she continuously gives me support to lead my journey to become an entrepreneur.

$5,000 invested on classes, baking equipments etc.

6)What ways have you found to be most effective in marketing your product or service to get sales?

INAH MOHTAR… she will be sharing in mixed language… so be it hehehe, its a challenge and entrepreneurs love challenge yah…. so take this chance to network with people who understand malay….

1)What kind of business do you have? What inspired you to become an Entrepreneur business owner?

) What kind of business do you have? What inspired you to become an Entrepreneur business owner?

1a – Starting from the year 2000, after giving birth to my second child, I realized that I had to do something beneficial instead of nothing at home. With the support of my family, I started learning on how to bake cakes, with Kek Kukus being my first try ever. My main intention then, was to attract my husband as that is his personal favourite! Nearing Ramadhan, I shared some samples with my friends and Alhamdulillah, I received 40 orders from there. This triggered my confidence and I continued acquiring more knowledge on baking through home-based courses. Once again, I received more orders.

However, year 2007 really put me to test. After I gave birth to my fifth child in June, a great individual called Dad passed away. He was a loving father who never fails to motivate me. I was really close to him and this was a great loss for me. I became a quiet person. Upon seeing my changes, my mother enrolled me into Baking Skool. With new knowledge and a certificate in hand, my mother continued to enroll me in more courses.

1b – My source of inspiration comes from the ever-increasing orders from my customers, apart from the support from my mother, husband and lovely kids who actively promote my products on Facebook and among friends. My niche products include Kuih Tart, made from late grandmother’s recipe, and also Durian Fudge Cake. Personally, I believe that the success of a product comes from your sincerity.

2)Did you need to have a certain mindset to achieve success?

It is a practice that I’ll start with Bismillah and Nawaitu. Not forgetting also the 4D approach – Destination, Desire, Determination & Discipline

* Inah amalkan mula dengan Bismillah dan Nawaitu. Tidak lupa juga pendekatan 4D – Destination, Desire, Determination & Discipline.

3)Have you noticed certain advantages to being an entrepreneur business owner?

Besides working from home with flexible working hours at the same time, I can look after my 5 children.

4)Did you have a mentor to help you get started?

I have no mentor when I started. But now, I’ve Sumira, my childhood friend and, of course Abang Abu.

* Inah bermula tanpa seorang mentor, tetapi kini Inah berganding bahu dengan teman lama Sumira dan semestinya Abang Abu.

5) Approximately how much money did you invest before your business became profitable?

My mother has invested for my courses while my husband assisted in the purchase for my baking tools & baking needs. Personally, I have invested in registering my company, Master Bakery Distributor with ACRA recently. Alhamdulillah, 2 days after registration, I received a 6-day project from one of the government school in catering for a teacher meeting.

6)What ways have you found to be most effective in marketing your product or service to get sales?

Like what you have shared in BIJAK BELANJA programme, we do not get to enjoy 100% of our income. So, my common practice is to share my samples especially to new customers. Should they find it appealing, they can proceed with their orders. Otherwise, I will still garner feedback from them. Apart from networking, words of mouth helps a lot too!

7) What tips can you give others who want to embrace their dream but, don’t have the confidence or feel they don’t have what it takes to succeed?

As long as the mind is willing, success is within our grasp.

 What’s next for you?

InsyaAllah, to have my own Central-kitchen or a Bakery shop.

* InsyaAllah, kalau diberi kesempatan, saya ingin “Central-Kitchen” dan Kedai Bakeri sendiri.

9) Few words of AbangAbu and cabaran101010? Optional Questions.

Meet Abang Abu @BIJAK BELANJA programme. The session was really engaging and I still remember the 3 dance steps.

* Bertemu Abang Abu di acara BIJAK BELANJA. Kelas yang dianjurkan sungguh menyeronokkan. Inah ingat lagi sesi menari.

I’ll like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the following people:

1 – My mother, thanks so much for your love and support. You are my mum, teacher & BFF.
2 – Hubby, thanks so much for always giving me support, courage and doas.
3 – Kids, thanks for being my loyal food critics.
4 – My Team Member (Najaha Summit) – Together we pray for our success…stay FOCUS.

What inspired you to become an Entrepreneur business owner? I am very passionate about sales & business development. To be a trainer and public speaker is always in my dreams. Based on my knowledge and experiences from my previous sales management positions and managing my own businesses, I have found a way to combine these passions into one vision. WANPreneur Solutions was set-up to fulfill these dreams. We conduct trainings and talks to sales people and provide them the skills and the right mindset to achieve their desired results. What inspired me is actually my own family. It is when I have my first child, a complete family and I am only earning $950 per month. I started to think and I knew I need to change. I need to change for the better and provide them with the best lifestyle. The only way is to have my own business. Now, I got 4 lovely kids. 2)Did you need to have a certain mindset to achieve success? My family do not have any business background. When I first started my own business, I got a lot of negative remarks from the people around me especially my loved ones. Still remember in my down times, they are more negative. But I am always POSITIVE and have a strong BELIEVE in myself. I stay FOCUS to achieve my goals and show them the results. 3)Have you noticed certain advantages to being an entrepreneur business owner? As a business owner, i feel the advantage is that I am the decision maker. I can do things the way I want it to be. 4)Did you have a mentor to help you get started? When I started, I don’t really have a mentor. I read a lot of motivational books and watch tv business programmes. I catch the tips and apply it. 5)Approximately how much money did you invest before your business became profitable? I only invest a small amount of money to get started.
